Hi all. It’s been a busy summer, and about to be a very busy fall. I am soon to be a Nana once more to my 4th baby boy. That is so exciting for me, as I adore and love all my boys. In the middle of all the fun and excitement of my life, there is still a world in crisis, and my prayers are up for those who are in need and in brokenness. In the center of the selfishness of mankind, the trends, the protests over this and that, the senseless divisions, life goes on, and people are seriously hurting. We are seeing death and destruction, loss and grieving, war and starvation, and so much more. With that said, I choose to concentrate my prayers, in love, on those who need them, and not on the selfishness, the anger, the bitterness, the hatred, that the world has become so proficient at.
It is the time for us to become Beautifully Bold, as well as Bold and Beautiful. Jesus is the Son of God, and Jesus is my Savior. Simple words said daily by many. However, those words are profound in truth, in hope, in faith, in love, and in life. Those simple words make life transition from fake and senseless to real and meaningful. In Ecclesiastes King Solomon writes about everything being meaningless; “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” Ecclesiastes 1:2 He writes that there is a time for everything under Heaven; “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Bold statements of wisdom. Beautiful in structure. Bold in presentation. Impossible in context. Possible in reality. Boldness is both physical and spiritual. A bold spirit overcomes the physical weaknesses that keep it from being bold. A warrior heart is a bold spirit. The flesh plays no part in the strength of the spirit. “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
They say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. This beholder sees beauty in the spirit. It is not validated by the flesh; makeup, fancy clothes, jewelry, weight, height, and hairstyles. Beauty is validated only by love, and when love is great, and love is pure, and love is in Christ, then beauty has revealed itself in bold wonder and awe. That kind of beauty is found in the beautiful souls that walk on this earth and bless us daily. They believe. They trust in “one body and one Spirit- just as you were called to one hope that belongs to your call-one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”. Ephesians 4:1-6
Set your sails on a bold and beautiful journey that will chart your course to gentleness, kindness, goodness, patience, self-control, faithfulness, love, joy, and peace. The fruit of the Spirit…As bold and as beautiful as it gets. Galatians 5:22-23
Even in storms, even in the darkness, light the path with your love. Your joy will overflow and heal a world that is broken, and in need.
As always…PEACE OUT! Have a BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL life! LOVE IS ENOUGH! Live it LOUD!
